Hello Everybody, sorry for the lack of news… but there are a couple of news ^_^
Well after a couple of months with the new panchira and although some stuff work great, some other stuff don’t… its kinda confusing in some places and kinda buggy (have like every week about 4 or 5 mails of users stressing out with problems), and the most important stuff is still missing (strong central forum and a picture/video gallery that i did promise), not only that, I’ve had complaints from users and admins as well, and i can see that although there are almost 3000 users and new people coming everyday, most people don’t like and don’t use the site all that much (for example user return is been down this week about 60% when it normally is up about 60%, that means that 6 of every 10 people join but dont come back on the next day)… understandable, even i use it very little, also the developers of the software suck a bit… so again is time for a change heheh, but this time around all the stuff can be brought back ^^ and i have all the files, so if anyone wants their stuff back… i can bring it back to them or to the new NEW panchira ^_^ so i guess panchira will be down from around the 19th to 21th (friday to sunday) while i backup, remove, install and restart panchira, i’m working on the design and extras right now, so i hope the new NEW panchira will be much better, it will be focused on a forum and a gallery (it might have a social networking side to it in the future… but it will mostly be around a central forum and a picture/videos … gallery), any questions problems… whatever, you can reply to meeee here hehehe, i’m also sending a mass mail to all existing panchira users about this and posting a copy of this on panchira ^_^ so for now….

Whoa!? A new layout? Well, not that I’m complaining over the current one, but if you can make one better than the current one, GO FOR IT! ( ´Д`)

To be honest, i haven’t come back to panchira since i registered about a month ago -.-
What can i say? I don’t even have time to start up progress quest every time i start up my system :D
haiii no problem, but to everyone else that wanted panchira to be up to standard, this is for them, hehehe…. i might not hit on the first swing but i always go for the home run o_0 … txaaa baseball… where did that come from… muhahahaha
My only gripe is that you can’t upload in bulk, one at a time is killing me.
Well this time around you can upload in bulk from day one… ^_^ around sunday/monday when it comes back online… i’ll be shutting it down in a couple of hours ^_^’

haiii i hit a couple of problems on the server… nothing that cant be fixed, it just delayed the setup for a while, so instead of being online right now… i’m wishing to be online this evening (for me its like… in the next 10 hours… or so) or tomorrow, but its one of those things… (the server had a hard drive crash, kinda nice timing on my part… better for these things to happen while the site is offline. anyways, a new hard drive is being installed and i should be back to work in a couple of hours) ^_^

muhahaha, i only worry about things i can change ^_^ so i rarely worry muahahhaah, and the server is back online and i’m about 80% on the configuration… so like i said above… there aren’t any solid social network software nowadays and i’m through with experimentation hehehe, so this time around its a solid forum software and a solid gallery software is what everyone can expect (remember that the goal for panchira was after all just a forum), and yes as time goes on i will probably add more social features (or launch a independent social network) on it, but as a whole the experience will be much nicer and much more convenient to everyone that has used a forum before… i know not that exciting, but everyone can agree that it will be much more user-friendly ^_^.oO( and of course when it starts i want everyone’s input in what categories we should have and what stuff we should focus… )
ohhh and at first full support for picture uploads (single and multiple uploads) and albums (both general albums and private user albums) as well as in forum attachments of whatever… everyone wants, video is still a work in progress, not because we dont have the resources, more because i’m fixing some bugs with the transcoder (the system that manages the videos), but you can embed flash video anywhere (just post the url to the video and the system will do the rest) and pictures as well… even from the gallery if you want… ^_^
So when can we expect to be able to go check it out? I see its still not open (asks for a username and password still).
today… i’m guessing, i could open it now, but you know, the little things, like the smileys and help text and stuff like that is not done yet… i prefer to keep it off for a bit longer and give you a more complete site than what we have now hehehe, and like i said i couldn’t finish by sunday and monday it was down for a big chunk of the day… that’s mostly why i’m a bit late on what i said, but rest assured that i will post a update here on hentaish when its back online ^_^
