Some explosions are helpful but others are just WAYYYY TOOO TROUBLESOME, not only was the recent transfer to panchira’s new server a resounding FAIL, but hentaish server also went upside down and decided to take a vacation all at the same time, not that i didn’t have the necessary backups hehehe ^_^ but still i would rather be baking cakes (i make awesome cakes) instead of making server transfers, talking with support staff and fixing problems….

Ok ok… enough with the doomsday scenarios, bottom line, everything is fixed, hentaish is working like a charm, panchira is settled in her new home and hurray for new things ehehehe, ohh ohh and before i forget lets all welcome our newest hentaish member Bodysnatcher, he will be posting stuff, backing up me and thought, so yay for new stuff ^_^’ .oO( more stuff tomorrow, and i’m seriously considering using that image as our own fail wale… muhahahahah )

  4. it still shows put password? well 5min after i made the switch, there were about 15people on the new, but like i said dns is a fickle thing, some switch quickly some take some time, if you really want i can explain how you can change to my dns (or another also good), so you can see the site, i use LEVEL3 DNS (level 3 is one of the biggest internet backbone providers, so their dns is solid and refreshes very quickly), also you can use Opendns (it is also good, i just dont use it, cause when sites fail, opendns gives you options, but i have to see the fail’s incase they are my sites, so i understand what is happening heheheh)

To change your dns in windows you go to Settings/Control Panel/Network Connections … then choose your interface that connects to the internet (wireless or ethernet or modem), then right click on the interface… lets say wireless, so right click and choose properties, then click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and choose again properties…

Then where it says Obtain DNS server address automatically, choose Use the following DNS server addresses:

    and put for LEVEL3
    4.2.2.1
    4.2.2.2

    or opendns
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220

click ok ok and thats it… try again panchira.org if it doesnt work, close the browser and try again, click refresh if necessary (some browsers cache dns requests hehehe), thats it ^_^

  5. it doesnt ask for password…i get internal error 500 again …imma try that DNS thing of urs…

  6. i’ve tried it now (changed the ip of panchira to the old server), yep its giving 500 error server YAYYYYYYY heheh means i moved at just the right time ^_^’ it basically means that the server is freaking out and not running php the way it should, i’m not even going to talk with support (they would probably say something silly like… ohhh but the dns is not poiting to our server anymore, thats the reason… silly hehehe)

  7. O_O ….ok say that means no panchira for me for some more time ? ;(

    #7 stranger
  8. no, if you do what i said above and change your dns, you can visit panchira right now… with no problems, if you don’t do it, just wait a bit more and your isp dns will eventually refresh and you will see the site ^-^

  11. hehehe, ohh you should have said so, well there is more than one way to crack a nut, just add this to vista host file…

    1) Browse to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories
    2) Right click “Notepad” and select “Run as administrator”
    3) Click “Continue” on the UAC prompt
    4) Click File -> Open
    5) Browse to “C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc”
    6) Change the file filter drop down box from “Text Documents (*.txt)” to “All Files (*.*)”
    7) Select “hosts” and click “Open”
    8) Add this to the end the file:

    208.97.180.147 panchira.org
208.97.180.147 http://www.panchira.org (remove the http:// … dont know why the hentaish software is adding that … its just www(dot)panchira(dot)org)

then close Notepad. Save when prompted.

In a couple of days, do the same and delete those entries, just in case ^_^ what you are doing is telling windows where panchira.org is… because before going online and checking the dns, windows first checks the hosts file, if there is an entry there, he won’t check the dns online heheheh, hope this is helpful ^^
